I live in a coastal town in Florida and am directly affected by the impacts of seaweed. When seaweed decomposes, I first hand see tourists numbers decline. The solution you offer towards using seaweed are great alternatives. In addition, I know some beaches use tractors and diggers to bury their seaweed underneath the sand. This keeps it out of sight and doesn't smell. Maybe we could even use excess seaweed to supply a bio fuel plant to produce electricity.
Cesar, Such an interesting idea! Just about everyone has had some encounter with seaweed and can relate to your pitch. It is very interesting that seaweed has the potential to be so profitable. You presented your idea very well in your pitch as well. You used the tools presented by Dr. Cooke, and I think the statistics you presented were a great "attention grabber." Great job and I look forward to hearing more about your ideas!
